An influx of new occupiers is joining the established businesses trading from Southampton’s Marchwood Industrial Park following a string of deals secured by commercial property specialists Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) on behalf of Associated British Ports (ABP).
LSH has signed up three new occupiers at Marchwood in recent months and is also expecting high levels of interest in a number of units that have recently become available at the site in North Road. LSH is sole agent for the site, which was acquired by ABP in 2015.
Shipping agent Formation Freight Services, based in Nursling, has taken additional space at Marchwood. Meanwhile Pfeifer Rope and Tackle and Automotive Accessories Ltd have relocated to the site, joining well-known names including Veolia, Royal Mail, Tarmac, Biffa, Elliott Group and Maritime Transport in having offices, warehouses or distribution sites at the park.
Dan Rawlings, Senior Surveyor – Industrial at LSH’s South Coast offices, said: “Marchwood Industrial Park has gone from strength to strength since its acquisition by ABP, securing important commercial space that contributes greatly to the economic success of the Port of Southampton and the surrounding region.
“We are pleased to welcome new occupiers to the site and are confident that the units that we are now able to offer will attract a similar calibre of tenant. The units are ideal for growing businesses seeking modern, quality accommodation with unrivalled access to the docks, city centre and motorway.”
The units now available to occupiers are: 1A.2 at 11,780 sq ft; 2G and H, which have a combined area of 6,252 sq ft or can be let separately; and B4.2 at 3,551 sq ft.
All benefit from 24-hour on-site security, allocated parking and loading facilities and concrete yards. Marchwood Industrial Park is on the western bank of Southampton Water, opposite the container terminal of Southampton Docks, with easy access to the docks, M271 and M27.
