Leading industrial developer and asset manager, Chancerygate, has appointed Mark Garrity to lead the company’s development programme in the Midlands. He will be based in Birmingham where a new office will be opened.
Garrity joins from Kier Property Developments where he was a Senior Development Manager specialising in sourcing development opportunities in the East and West Midlands.
Chancerygate has been active in the region for a number of years and recently developed C75 in Coventry: a 75,530 sq ft warehouse unit on Pilot Business Park which was prelet to luxury flooring company, Amtico, and forward funded by M&G Real Estate. The scheme was recently awarded Deal of the Year under 75,000 sq ft at the IAS awards.
Through the opening of an office in Birmingham, Chancerygate anticipates becoming a significant force in the development of multi unit industrial schemes in the region.
Chancerygate Managing Director, Richard Bains, commented: “The opening of a Midlands office is a very important part of our expansion strategy and – as we have done in the North West we feel that appointing a local team to identify opportunities is the optimal way to penetrate a new market.
“Mark’s extensive development experience and market knowledge means he is ideally suited to leading this strategy.”
