Independent commercial building consultancy firm, Malcolm Hollis, is celebrating ten years of business in Welwyn Garden City.
Since opening an office in the city in 2008, the firm has grown its client offering and provides specialist services, such as Rights of Light. By the end of 2018, it will be the eighth largest office within Malcolm Hollis’ network of more than 20 in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
The office is headed up by Partner and Rights of Light specialist, Ian McKenna. He and the team combined boast 45 years’ service at Malcolm Hollis.
The strategy behind the opening of the office was to increase Malcolm Hollis’ presence in the Home Counties, where the opportunities for project work are great, and to provide employees with a more flexible work-life balance.
With so many staff commuting from the Home Counties into its London offices, the firm wanted to promote health and wellbeing by giving employees the opportunity to work from the Welwyn Garden City office instead.
“When we first opened the Welwyn Garden City office, there were only a few staff members working out of the space. Now a decade later, we have grown significantly and are anticipating another stellar year, working on a range of local and national projects for clients,” says Ian McKenna, partner at Malcolm Hollis.
