A commercial warehouse of nearly 32,000 sq ft (2,948.7 sq m) is the latest industrial building to be let in Thetford through the Bury St Edmunds office of Barker Storey Matthews, who acted as joint agent with Newbreed Associates for the landlord.
The warehouse premises at 52-54 on the Brunel Way Industrial Estate are in one of the town’s established commercial trading locations and had been vacated by the previous occupier before the new tenant, a recycling specialist firm, secured a new 10-year lease.
The warehouse, with two storey offices, and an eaves height of 5.84 m is typical of the industrial units on Brunel Way, according to the agent who also advises that the property achieved a competitive rent resulting from a quoting rent of £119,025 per annum, excl.
Barker Storey Matthews see this latest deal as demonstrating the growing demand for industrial premises in Thetford.
Steven Mudd, Barker Storey Matthews, explains, “The dualling of the A11 has enhanced the commercial opportunities in Thetford and the surrounding area.
“Regional and national operators, especially those in the warehouse, distribution and logistics sectors, have the town on their radar when it comes to seeking new premises.”
