A self-storage operator has opened a new site in Worcester as part of a UK-wide expansion.
UK Storage Company has opened a site at Nunnery Park, off Nunnery Way, and has already secured its first customers.
The company, which offers a variety of short- and long-term self-storage options in various sizes that can be accessed 24 hours a day, has signed a long-term lease in a deal brokered by leading commercial agency Fisher German, which is marketing the development.
The new site is part of UK Storage Company’s expansion plans, as it continues its search for further suitable cities to launch in.
It is the company’s second site in the West Midlands after opening a unit at Easter Park, in Kidderminster, in June this year after signing a lease on the scheme where Fisher German is also the retained agents alongside JLL.
John Lamb, of UK Storage Company, said: “Our customers can be anyone from members of the public who require storage in between house moves or some extra space to businesses looking for flexible long or short-term storage solutions.
“Nunnery Park is an excellent site in a prominent location which has easy access to the city and is close to motorway links.
“We are in a brand new building which has been newly fitted out and we are already proving popular having welcomed our first customers.
“We have had an excellent experience working with Fisher German, and the site’s developer, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist St Modwen, has also been very good to deal with.
“Worcester is an excellent location for us to expand into, and we are now on the look-out for other potential cities in the area which may be suitable for further new sites in the future.”
Richard Tomlinson, of Fisher German, said: “It is excellent to welcome UK Storage Company to Nunnery Park.
“The development is a thriving business park which is well-positioned, being based close to Worcester city centre and nearby motorway networks, which provides great location to create a growing client base.”
