Property consultancy JLL is expanding its Southampton office with six new members of staff including a new director of planning to meet growing demand.
Alex King, an accomplished town planner with experience across both the private and public sectors, joins JLL’s Southampton team from Planning Issues, where he worked predominantly within the retirement sector.
Luke Mort has joined as a senior surveyor from local practice Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in Portsmouth. He will be responsible for industrial and logistics agency across the South Coast region, whilst also assisting the national industrial and logistics team based in JLL’s London office.
Adam Stubbings has been appointed graduate surveyor to work in building consultancy and Hannah Griffiths to work in office agency. Additionally, Matt Chown and Holly Thomas have been appointed as graduate surveyors to support to the office’s expanding business across the South.

The industrial team based in JLL’s Southampton office and covering Hampshire, Dorset, East and West Sussex has also recently promoted associate director Jonathan Manhire to head up the industrial team.
The team is working on a mix of instructions from speculative development to smaller business units including numerous high-profile projects such as: South Central; Mountpark, Southampton; Stanstead Road Trade Park, Eastleigh; and Velocity, Havant, which is a new speculative development totalling 40,000 sq ft.
Nella Pang, head of office agency and capital markets, along with Steve Knight who leads on residential valuation, have both been promoted to director.
