Oxford Safety, the award-winning designers and manufacturers of systems to increase safety when operatives are working at height, have expanded their operation and bought a brand new 14,000 sq ft building at Albion Land’s new Link9 development in Bicester.
The building, comprising a unit set within Network @ Link9, is the second of the 3 phased 530,000 sq ft development on Longlands Road. Oxford Safety join other new occupiers on the site including Teknos and British Bakels. Only 3 new units, ranging in size from 14,000 sq ft – 60,000 sq ft, are now available for sale at phase 2. Phase 3 has recently been purchased by RDI Pension Fund who are now on site building units of 120,000 and 168,000 sq ft.
John Black from Oxford Safety Components commented “It is a very exciting time here at Oxford Safety Components, as purchasing this fabulous building will enable us to continue with our planned growth, both here in the UK and Overseas. Bicester is also ideally situated for the delivery of our products and services throughout the UK. We can’t wait for the next phase of Oxford Safety Components”
Chris White of White Commercial Surveyors commented “Oxford Safety have purchased a modern and high specification unit of a size which is in short supply in the south east and midlands. We have experienced excellent demand for this scheme and are expecting to make further announcements on new occupiers for the available units of 14,000 – 60,000 and 120,000 sq ft unit shortly.
Bicester has an expanding population which should reach 50,000 by 2031 with over 10,000 new houses planned over the next 13 years. Bicester is famous for Bicester Village which has over 6,000,000 visitors each year.”
