Leading council figures were given a tour of the latest progress on work at the £150 million Bridgwater Gateway business park.
Senior members of Sedgemoor District Council’s planning and economic development teams went on a site visit to the 100-acre mixed-use development, which is being marketed by Colliers International.
The group toured the infrastructure now on site, including 1km of roads built by Encon Construction, plus full infrastructure and services, and had an update on the next phase of the project.
Phil Wade, Development Manager at Bridgwater Gateway, said: “Remarkable progress has taken place at Bridgwater Gateway over the past year, and it was a pleasure to be able to provide an update to these key individuals from our local authority.
“It will not be long before prime new commercial properties will be springing up alongside the new roads which have been built, and work is already underway on a new Premier Inn hotel.”
Tim Davies, Head of the South West office of Colliers International, said: “Bridgwater Gateway offers fantastic opportunities for occupiers seeking prime industrial and Grade A office space in the South West.
“The fast-track delivery available means businesses will be able to move at impressive speed into brand new, state-of-the-art premises in a landscaped setting with a strategic position for access to junction 24 of the M5.”
