The unit which has been leased to Islwyn Gymnastics Club. The club needed larger premises as they had outgrown their previous facilities in Blackwood Comprehensive School Gym. The new unit will enable them to accommodate the influx of members who have joined since Marie and Karl Ward took over the ownership of the club in October last year.
Formerly used for storage, the landlord FI Real Estate Management agreed to undertake works to the roof and floor of the unit prior to the tenant taking occupation. Explaining their decision to lease the unit on Nine Mile Point, Karl Ward said, “Such has been the demand for membership of the gymnastics club we quite simply had to find larger premises to accommodate everyone. We wanted to stay relatively close to Blackwood and the new premises are ideal. We were also very pleased with the flexibility and help provided by FI and the team at M4 Property Consultants throughout the whole process.”
Kelly Binnie, M4 Property Consultants is pleased to lease the unit to Islwyn Gymnastics Club. She said, ”When we first met with Mari and Karl to view the property and they explained their proposed use for it we knew it wouldn’t be that straight forward due to the change of use and work required to make it suitable. We recognised their commitment to expanding their gymnastics club, the growth they have already achieved and the strength of their business plan and together with the landlord we did everything we could to secure the deal for them and look forward to working them in the future.”
A spokesperson for Asset Manager, FI Real Estate Management said, “Flexibility is key to operating a successful industrial estate and we were happy to invest in the refurbishment works on the unit and cooperate with the tenants to satisfy all involved parties.
