JLL once again demonstrates sustainability leadership with the announcement of 28 JLL-managed properties winning Green Apple Environment Awards, the annual international awards to recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world. JLL’s managed shopping centres, offices and industrial estates received awards for the work they have undertaken, including on improving energy efficiency, reducing waste sent to landfill and fostering initiatives that add value to society.
JLL continues to mainstream sustainability as part of its core service with the launch of their very own PAM Responsible Property Management Awards this year. The Awards have been designed to “inspire leadership in sustainability and recognise best practice achievements throughout JLL PAM”. Over 100 property-level and supplier submissions were received highlighting a range of achievements from energy management to health & wellbeing to unsung heroes championing sustainability.
The final results will be announced at the respective awards ceremonies on 31st October at the JLL Head Office, Soho (RPM Awards) and 12th November at the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Palace (Green Apple Awards).
Jordan Jeffery, Head of Retail Management in JLL’s Property & Asset Management team, commented: “We are thrilled by the number of Green Apples awarded this year, once again highlighting the dedication to sustainability from our retail teams. We are encouraged by the greater focus being placed on adding value to society supporting the community activities we manage across our properties.”
Andries van der Walt, Head of Sustainability for Property & Asset Management at JLL said: “JLL welcomes this opportunity to celebrate our sustainability success stories, which we continue to deliver as a core service to our clients. Securing 28 Green Apple Awards across such a wide spectrum of projects and initiatives is testament to the depth of JLL’s commitment to sustainability, the quality of our staff and the innovation that we bring through our approach to property management.”
