Staff absence management specialist e-days has completed its move to Canalside House, in a deal brokered by Nottingham Property agents, JLL.
The fast-growing SME has taken all 3,500 sq ft on the ground-floor of the four-storey building, with JLL having now secured full occupancy of the new 20,000 sq ft offices.
The move is also timely, as e-days this year picked up two trophies – ‘SME of the Year’ and ‘Sales & Marketing team of the Year’ – at the Nottingham Post’s annual business awards.
Kate Richardson of letting agents JLL commented: ‘To have completed the final letting of Canalside House and secured full occupancy is great news for our clients following their commitment to speculatively refurbish the building on the back of our strategic marketing advice.’
“JLL have been at the forefront in the market working alongside our clients to ensure Grade A office refurbishments are delivered across the East Midlands. Nottingham is currently relying on the refurbishment market due to the lack of development over the last 10 years.
“Appetite for these Grade A office refurbished schemes remains strong. However, for Nottingham’s economy to continue to prosper, we need more quality stock to come forward and we have been using our strong local knowledge to advise our JLL network and investors from across the UK of the city’s potential.
“The city has such a great growing pool of talent, demand is strong, new Grade A space is constantly required to replenish the stock being taken from the market.”
Canalside House is one of the most prominent self-contained office buildings in Nottingham city centre, situated in an established commercial location with a good amenity offer and nearby occupiers including Browne Jacobson, Land Registry, Parexel and the HMRC campus.
