Commercial property consultancy Knight Frank has moved its South Wales regional headquarters to larger offices at the 3 Assembly Square building on Cardiff Waterside.
The fast-growing firm has taken a 10 year lease on 3,500 sq ft first floor offices at an annual quoting rental of £23.50 per sq ft. It has moved from the nearby Emperor House in Pierhead Street.
The 3 Assembly Square building on Britannia Quay is a Grade A waterfront office development totalling 65,765 sq ft over six floors. The high-quality building is home to ITV Wales, Life Science Hub, KPMG, Acuity Legal and Gambit Corporate Finance.
Matt Phillips, managing partner of Knight Frank in Wales said: “These prestigious offices will provide a perfect home for our growing team in Wales – as well as spectacular views over Cardiff Bay – and an ideal base from which we can continue to be involved in many of South Wales’ largest and most significant commercial property deals.”
During the past year the Knight Frank Cardiff office has advised in the £84.5 million sale of Cardiff Waterside in Cardiff Bay, acted in the sale or acquisition of three flagship office buildings at Central Square in Cardiff city centre, and represented JR Smart on the Capital Quarter development.
And in the industrial agency sector Knight Frank completed the letting and investment sale of the 100-acre Celtic Business Park in Newport and leased the first speculative development there to Amazon. It also opened a new residential division in Cardiff during the year.
Matt Phillips added: “Our knowledge of the Cardiff property sector combines with a close working relationship with colleagues in Knight Frank’s London, Middle East and other overseas markets to provide a truly global perspective that helps make us stand out from the crowd and enables us to promote the attractions of Cardiff all across the world.
“The new offices will give us the capacity to be able to continue to grow in the years ahead.”
