AXA Investment Managers has agreed two new lettings on one of Ipswich’s busiest shopping streets, advised by retail property specialist Kitchen La Frenais Morgan.
Outdoor clothing retailer Trespass has agreed a letting with landlord AXA for the three-level 6,900 sq ft shop at 41-43 Westgate Street, paying an undisclosed rent. Trespass was founded in 1984 and now has more than 85 stores across the UK, selling clothes and equipment used by surfers, skiers and camping enthusiasts.
Betting chain Betfred has agreed to let the 1,300 sq ft shop at 37 Westgate Street, where it will pay an annual rent of £32,500. Betfred was founded in 1967 and now runs more than 1,350 shops, which was boosted its £265m acquisition of the Tote last year.
