A forward-thinking Coventry company has safeguarded jobs for the local workforce after acquiring another city business and will now provide the full range of printing services along with mailing and delivery.
Link Mailing’s ten-strong workforce has been joined by six staff from Print5 at its 8,500 sq ft premises in Binns Close, Tile Hill.
The deal means Link Mailing can now supply customers with all their printing needs from digital to litho as well as mailing and delivery – which it understands to be a first in the region.
Deborah Donaldson, managing director of Link Mailing, said the acquisition will enable the business to expand its offering to new and existing clients.
“The takeover means we can offer a complete – and unusual – range of services instead of simply concentrating on one area of the whole process,” she said.
“We are now offering a hybrid facility for printing, mailing and delivery which will be of real benefit to the customers of Link Mailing and Print5.
“This will save clients time, money and resources which is a big plus point in the current economic climate.
“We believe we will be providing the biggest range of printing services in the West Midlands since we will be offering everything from large format prints and banners to copy shop, litho and T-shirt printing.
“This will increase Link Mailing’s standing in this specialised industry and we are confident there are exciting times ahead.”
Alan Halliday, the previous owner of Print5, said he had always been impressed with the high standard of Link Mailing’s service during their close working relationship.
He said: “We know that the business we have built up will be in good hands as Link Mailing goes from strength to strength.”
