Bath’s Milsom Place is seeing a new injection of energy with activewear brand, Boudavida opening its first ever store and plans for a one-of-a-kind spin studio, Spin Village scheduled to open in November 2018. Biggie Best is another exciting new arrival for Bath with its distinctive brand of furnishings and homewares, gifts and clothing.
Boudavida has its roots firmly in Somerset where CEO Anabel Sexton founded her successful activewear collection. Anabel says “We are excited to be opening our first Boudavida store in the heart of Bath. We feel that Milsom Place is perfect for creating a really personal shopping environment and we’re looking forward to introducing many new customers to our activewear brand”. Designed to make women feel confident and comfortable, the flattering designs encourage women to be the best, most active version of themselves. All their ranges of stretch activewear are designed from high performance materials geared to adapt from intensive training and competitive sports to stretching and relaxation classes. Pop up classes will be available for Bath customers. Boudavida strives for equality in the sporting world by donating 5% of sales directly to projects that support women’s and girl’s sport. Recipients range from female rowing clubs to women’s cricket. The new store at Milsom Place is now open seven days a week; visit milsomplace.co.uk for further details and opening hours.
Biggie Best, fronting onto Broad Street, is synonymous with style and quality with a carefully curated range of home accessories, vintage furniture, women’s clothing and accessories and attractive gifts and ceramics. This thriving brand has now opened eight UK stores under the direction of Mark Pfuhl, who is following in his mother’s footsteps; she continues to run South Africa’s largest independent home decor retail chain. Their trademark vintage inspired homewares are carefully sourced to ensure that each piece can transform any space, helping their customers to create beautiful homes.
Bath can also look forward to the opening of its first ever boutique indoor cycling studio. High on intensity but low on intimidation, Spin Village launches at Milsom Place in November 2018, offering riders top quality indoor cycling classes that will appeal to the full range of fitness abilities. With classes timed to suit all schedules with both pay-as-you-go and rolling monthly memberships available, Spin Village aims to make regular workouts as convenient, efficient and enjoyable as possible.
Founder Charlie Bird says, “It’s so exciting to launch Spin Village in the great city of Bath! I’ve been lucky enough to experience many of the global leaders in the indoor cycling industry over the past few years and I’ve endeavoured to select the best elements from each to create Spin Village.” He continued: “with our inspirational instructors and a wide variety of music, I am really looking forward to giving our riders an experience where they will have both fun and enjoy pushing their limits. Plus I’m hoping to gather together a warm and vibrant fitness community at Spin Village, to reinvigorate the vibe around Milsom Place as the top social hub in the city.”
Spin Village will feature 27 industry-leading Keiser M3i bikes in an acoustically optimised and soundproofed studio, together with highly sophisticated audio visuals and full air-conditioning. On arrival, all riders will be offered Specialized Torch 1.0 cycling shoes to optimise their performance during their class. Additionally, riders will enjoy full use of Spin Village’s changing facilities with high-end showers and vanity bars. During the class, the Spin Village studio features a heads-up power leader board that will be optional to riders. The dedicated Spin Village app allows all riders to track their own personal performance from one class to the next. Riders can also use the app to book classes in advance and choose their preferred bike in
the studio.
