Units at an industrial estate in Exeter are filling up following the estate’s sale and major enhancement works by the purchaser.
Skyways Business Park is a cluster of 14 units dating from the 1980s, including units with distinctive winged roofs which form a landmark visible to drivers on the A30. The estate was purchased by the current owners in November 2017, since which time they have carried out an extensive programme of refurbishment and enhancements.
Stratton Creber Commercial, as agents for the development, have just let Unit 10, a 2,260 square foot industrial unit, to a vehicle hire business. This brings the number of lettings at Skyways to five since the estate changed hands, with occupiers of the 8,600 square feet of space which has been let including a medical supplies company, a printer, an air conditioning company and an environmental services firm.
Jonathan Ling of Stratton Creber Commercial comments: “By addressing what seemed like relatively minor issues to do with the planning consent, the specification of the units, the parking layout and the overall appearance of the scheme, the owners of Skyways have given the development a much-needed boost, which is now delivering new tenants and rental growth.”
