Frasers Property has hit the switch on plans to install rapid electric vehicle chargers at its business parks across the south east.
The firm has worked alongside charging firm InstaVolt to install state-of-the-art charging stations at its Watchmoor Park (Camberley) and Winnersh Triangle (Reading) business parks.
The move brings a brand-new service to those working and visiting the business parks while highlighting the firm’s commitment to a greener planet. The 50kw rapid chargers are so fast they can get drivers back on the road in minutes and they’ll also be available for the wider public to use, as well as staff and visitors to the sites.
Unlike most other electric vehicle charging points, InstaVolt’s are available to use on a pay as you go basis, with no subscription or membership required. Drivers simply tap their contactless credit or debit card, charge up and go.
Rupert Batho, Commercial Director at Frasers Property said: “It’s important for us to offer our customers the services they need so we are working with Instavolt to provide electric vehicle charging at several of our business parks in the south. EV charging helps to make our locations more attractive for staff and visitors to plug in when they travel to work or visit.”
Frasers Property has already worked with InstaVolt to install chargers at its Chineham Park site in Basingstoke. The stations have proven extremely popular with electric car drivers, with more than 800 charging sessions recorded since they were installed.
Tim Payne, CEO of InstaVolt, said: “Our work with Frasers Property in Basingstoke has proven so successful that we’re delighted to roll out more chargers for the company across the UK. What’s great news is that they’ll be available for the local community to use too, so they’ll have a wide impact on the communities surrounding the business parks.”
