The Manchester at MIPIM Partnership held their launch event for 2019 last night (Wed 12 Sept), celebrating what will be the city’s 20th year at the property conference.
Held in KPMG’s offices at One St. Peter’s Square, the launch reflected on Manchester’s involvement in MIPIM since it joined in 2000 and looked at how Manchester will evolve at the event going forward.
Taking place in Cannes, France in March, MIPIM is the world’s leading property market, bringing together leading international property professionals across four-days.
Last year 108 companies and over 250 delegates represented Greater Manchester as part of the Partnership.
The 2019 launch was attended by leading professionals from across Greater Manchester’s property industry, and included a speech from Sir Richard Leese, Leader of the Manchester at MIPIM Partnership.
Sir Richard Leese said: “It’s a great pleasure to launch the Manchester at MIPIM 2019 Partnership, which will celebrate a 20th successful year promoting the message that Greater Manchester is a forward-thinking international city-region, with a unique offering for international investors.
“2019 will be a reflection of the progress Greater Manchester has made as an internationally developing city, and will also be an opportunity to discuss how Manchester can progress over the next twenty years.”
Manchester at MIPIM is a private sector focused partnership, strategically led by Manchester City Council and coordinated by Marketing Manchester, with the aim of promoting the Greater Manchester city-region to an international audience of property professionals.
Sheona Southern. Managing Director of Marketing Manchester said: “Manchester at MIPIM 2019 stands to be an important milestone in Manchester’s work pitching itself on a global stage.
