SevenCapital has released a full fly-through film of what the highly anticipated North Star Village development will look like when it is completed, pending approval from Swindon Borough Council.
The developer took on the contract with the Council to deliver this £270 million development in July 2017 and is hoping for approval for the full scheme by the end of this year.
John Watkins, Director at SevenCapital said: “Over the past 14 months we have worked incredibly hard to design a scheme that would both excite and enhance Swindon and draw people from all over the region and beyond. We have delivered on what we set out to do so far and we’re now working with the council on the final few points for the scheme to be approved.
“We’re very proud of what we have achieved so far and are working tirelessly to ensure that North Star Village can become a reality. Swindon deserves a first class leisure destination and all of the many benefits that this regeneration will bring the town.”
North Star Village will represent more than 500,000 sq ft of leisure, dining and retail in Swindon and has already signed up operators including Empire Cinemas, who will run 13 cinema screens, including the largest IMAX screen in Europe. It will also be home to one of the largest snow and ski centres in the UK, set to be run by The Snow Centre, and has agreed pre-lets with retailer Ellis Brigham and Hollywood Bowl with other lettings to be announced shortly.
