Motordepot Ltd, a leading used car supermarket, has agreed a new 10-year lease on a 48,007 sq ft industrial unit on New Potter Grange Road in Goole, East Yorkshire.
The industrial unit, which has recently been extensively refurbished by the owner, is positioned on a large surfaced site of circa four acres. The site will be used as a pre-sale inspection and testing facility to supply Motordepot’s multiple showroom locations.
The site, which was previously occupied by Timloc Building Products, is owned by Hansteen Holdings PLC, a listed industrial property investor, which has managed the £270,000 refurbishment project and subsequent successful re-letting.
Cushman & Wakefield was appointed joint agents alongside Hansteen to market the property.
Scott Morrison, Associate at Cushman and Wakefield said: “Goole has secured significant commercial investment within the last 12 months and is proving to be an increasingly popular location for occupiers. This site really suited an occupier of this nature and we are delighted to have secured Motordepot Ltd on a long-term lease, on behalf of our client Hansteen.”
Ronan Evans, Surveyor at Hansteen said: “We experienced very positive interest for this unit. Following a programme of refurbishment works (overseen by Trident Building Surveyors) we were pleased to secure the new letting to Motordepot Ltd with a minimal void period, which is reflective of the continued occupier appetite we have experienced in Hansteen’s Yorkshire portfolio.”
