Commercial property agent Knight Frank has expanded its Healthcare valuation team in Scotland in response to growth in the sector.
Valuation partner Iain McGhee, who has been with Knight Frank for 12 years and has previous experience providing valuation advice in the healthcare sector, will now provide advice in the healthcare sector in response to an increase in demand for local expertise.
Iain will continue to advise on commercial valuations for Knight Frank, in addition to growing the firm’s Healthcare advisory offering across Scotland. The UK Healthcare valuation team advises more than £12bn of healthcare assets annually, acting for many of the country’s major operators, funds, investors and lenders in the sector.
Iain McGhee said:
“Banks and other funders continue to show an appetite for lending into the healthcare market, with the sector accounting for a large part of many lenders’ overall commercial loan books. Therefore, having a healthcare valuer on the ground in Scotland is key for Knight Frank and our clients north of the border, to ensure that our advice is nationally relevant but locally focussed.
“I look forward to working with healthcare operators and funders across Scotland in the coming months and years to provide a best in class service and advice, in parallel with that which our existing clients have come to expect from our commercial valuation team.”
Julian Evans, head of healthcare for Knight Frank in the UK, said:
“Operators and lenders alike have been calling for an experienced commercial property expert in the sector and Iain’s previous experience and knowledge of the landscape in Scotland means he’s ideally placed to advise on a whole suite of commercial property services in Scotland, with healthcare a key part of that.”
