Opus Land is to build the first Midlands-based facility for Storagebase Self Storage, the storage solution specialist, as it broadens its UK coverage.
A planning application has been submitted seeking approval for work to begin on the £5 million, 112,000 sq ft bespoke design and build warehouse, adjacent to Opus Blueprint at junction 9 of M6 at Wednesbury. Work is due to begin in November, with completion scheduled for June 2013.
Despite an inclement economic climate, demand is rising for Storagebase’s services from both the home and business markets necessitating an expansion in both the company’s coverage and the number of locations that it offers.
Says managing director, Ben Morris: “By keeping prices low and quality high, Storagebase has cultivated new markets as well as maintaining its traditional appeal. Small businesses find our seven day a week delivery reception and collection service especially useful and we hope that local entrepreneurs contemplating a business start-up will consider this feature to be of particular advantage in these challenging times.”
