A versatile shop in a busy Waterlooville pedestrianised precinct has been snapped up by an expanding outsize clothes retailer.
Eileen Stapley, owner of Pleasantly Plump Clothing, has signed a 10-year lease on Unit 12 The Boulevard in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.
Quoting leasehold rent for the 553 sq ft (49.52 sq m) sales area retail unit, plus a first floor ancillary area, was £15,500 per annum.
Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “Pleasantly Plump was founded in 2015 by Eileen Stapley in Hayling Island and has since made its way to becoming a highly recognized clothing store.
“The store sells contemporary men’s and women’s fashion, in sizes small to 8XL and 10 to 36, plus accessories.
“I was delighted to facilitate Pleasantly Plump’s relocation from Hayling Island Seafront to this Waterlooville town centre shop unit and it will be a welcome addition to the retail scene.”
“With The Boulevard forming a busy pedestrian thoroughfare, linking the main pedestrian section of London Road with the Dukes Walk shopping centre, anchored by Waitrose and Wilkinson, there is excellent footfall.
“Other nearby retailers include Costa Coffee, Travelcare, SpecSavers, Halifax Bank, O2, Three Cooks, Barnardos and Robert Dyas.
