Lincoln-based chartered surveyor Banks Long & Co has appointed its fifth Director.
Experienced quantity surveyor and project manager Daniel Garfoot is the latest professional to join the “team at the top” of the busy award-winning firm in Westgate, whose services are increasingly in demand across the East Midlands and the wider UK.
Daniel, who lives in a village a few miles outside of Lincoln, was formerly a partner in a firm of international project managers and cost consultants and based in the company’s Scunthorpe office.
“I was working with Banks Long & Co providing quantity surveying services on a scheme and noticed that they were looking for an experienced project manager. As I have significant knowledge in both I applied and was pleased to be offered a directorship,” he said.
“It’s an exciting firm with a great reputation. One of my jobs will involve helping to bring more projects to fruition for a number of key clients, in addition to helping expand the business using my quantity surveying background.”
Daniel, who is Treasurer of Brigg Hockey Club, is married to Gemma. The couple have two children, Harry and Ava.
Banks Long & Co Managing Director Tim Bradford said: “We are delighted to welcome Daniel to the firm. It is great to have an additional project manager on board and Daniel’s quantity surveying expertise adds further value to our services.”
