Amethyst Systems, a fast-growing IT company in Bristol which specialises in offering bespoke, simple and cost-effective software solutions, is widening its services to local businesses in the region following of period of continued business success.
Over the past four years, Amethyst Systems has worked with a range of businesses around the UK, developing innovative applications to tackle a range of business problems.
The business, based in Portishead near Bristol, is run by ambitious IT developers Tony Fifield, Lee Dowson and Barry Tutton, and was established with a vision of supplying IT products and services that not only fulfil customer expectations, but also exceed them. The Amethyst team use their extensive technical expertise and knowledge to create individual solutions to a multitude of business problems faced by clients, and always look to find the simplest solution to a problem.
“Ever since first establishing Amethyst back in 2008, we’ve always sought to work directly alongside our clients to find solutions that are tailor-made to their requirements, and which specifically fulfil the function required by the business” says Tony Fifield, Director at Amethyst Systems.
For example, we worked alongside Tailored Recruitment Services (TRS) to build a completely bespoke web application, the result of which was a simple portal for clients to submit and approve timesheets, and a powerful management and invoicing tool for TRS. This portal made all existing paperwork and spreadsheets redundant for the business, provided for flexible and efficient invoicing, and improved the visibility of costs against charges for the business”.
TRS’ bespoke web application is just one of many examples of Amethyst projects that have aided their business partners since the company’s foundation.
Another Amethyst success story is the work that the company did to support OfficeScape, a leading supplier of business products for offices. The company required a comprehensive database application to assist with the management of its busy call centre, which makes and takes over a million calls a year.
Amethyst developed this new system within just six weeks, allowing OfficeScape to benefit from offering remote working to its staff too.
“Amethyst Systems exceeded our expectations and delivered a fantastic system, on time and over specification” said Andy Greening, the Managing Director of OfficeScape. “This system is invaluable to us … I can’t recommend Amethyst’s attitude, approach and delivery highly enough”.
Amethyst Systems now looks to reach more clients in the Bristol and North Somerset area, and is currently offering three month’s web hosting and support absolutely free to any new customers that choose to engage Amethyst’s services before the end of August 2012.
“We’re very proud of how we have grown in such a short space of time, and it is important to us that we are able to support more companies in the local area with our service” adds Tony. “Here at Amethyst, we can develop a range of solutions for local businesses – from traditional web and Windows database applications, through to Rugged PDA solutions.
It is our hope that this special promotion will encourage businesses to find out how we can help them. As local experts in business software applications, we are dedicated to helping our partners reach their goals”.
