Leading law firm Nelsons Solicitors has promoted three employees to associates in its Nottingham office.
Kirsty Tompkin, Paul Hinchliffe and Carolle White have collectively worked for Nelsons for more than 17 years and are delighted their efforts and dedication have been recognised by the law firm.
Finance manager Kirsty – who is Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualified – has worked her way through the ranks since joining Nelsons in 2004 after graduating from the University of Derby.
She said: “As soon as I visited Nelsons I got a good feeling about the firm – it’s a well-respected brand with an excellent reputation and I saw it as somewhere I could grow and develop my career in accountancy. My role is varied, with no two days being the same.
“Nelsons has continually supported my development and studies over the past 14 years and I am now looking forward to fully focusing my energy on strengthening the service the finance department provides to the rest of the firm and to clients, as well as helping others to progress.”
Paul, who specialises in commercial property law, joined Nelsons in early 2016 after spending six years at Lincoln-based QualitySolicitors Burton & Co.
He said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to associate at Nelsons, a law firm I joined while looking for career progression in a thriving city. I’m now looking forward to growing my client base and supporting colleagues to develop around me.
“I really enjoy the fact that the work the commercial property team does has an impact on the retail, leisure, commercial and industrial make-up of Nottingham – I get a real buzz out of being involved in projects that benefit the city.”
Carolle, who joined Nelsons in 2017 and has 20 years’ experience, is a Chartered Legal Executive who specialises in high value and complex medical negligence cases and inquests.
She said: “Nelsons appealed to me hugely because clinical negligence and personal injury is a core part of the business – I wanted to work somewhere where this area of law is highly regarded and valued. My job is extremely rewarding as I help people find answers to the questions they have about something that has gone wrong, which can make a real difference to their lives. Working with clients over a long period of time means I build relationships with them, getting to know them and their families quite well.
“My top priorities going forward are to continue to support the team and help to drive forward Nelsons’ business objectives.”
