Brothers Reno and Paul Monterosso are proving they are a ‘cut above’ by setting up their own hairdressing salon in Carlton.
With their 80 years’ combined experience in the hairdressing world, having worked all over Nottingham since training at Clarendon College, Reno, 57, and 55-year-old Paul are realising their dream – by going into business together.
Their new salon at 350 Carlton Road is called Reno and Paul Hairdressing. They have taken 55 sq m of ground floor space which they have filled with seven seats. The brothers have taken on two experienced stylists to join them.
“We are so excited about setting up together after so many years,” said Reno. “We will be taking really high standards of hairdressing to Carlton. For the first time in 25 years we will be working together again. We are really looking forward to it.”
Richard Sutton of NG Chartered Surveyors located the property at 350 Carlton Road. Having known Reno for many years, Richard knew exactly what the brothers were looking for. Innes England acted on behalf of the landlord.
Richard said: “It is brilliant that Reno and Paul are setting up together. It’s a new era for them.”
Reno and Paul officially opens this month. Reno and Paul Hairdressing is based in a busy part of Carlton, close to a vibrant shopping area. The salon has been given a black and white minimalist interior.
Originally from Sicily, the brothers say while it’s now a family busy, it’s doubtful their children will get involved in the business.
