Acting on behalf of Daher Aerospace, FHP Property Consultants have acquired one of the largest warehouses in the region. Situated off Junction 34 of the A1(M) at Harworth, south of Doncaster, the building extends to over 310,000 sq ft of high bay warehouse space, including racking and full sprinkler system.
The property was acquired on behalf of Daher Aerospace, renowned experts in industrial integrated logistics, flow line handling equipment, engineering and industrial packing with their UK headquarters in Derby. The business is represented in 11 countries with a global revenue of €1.2 billion, specialising in aerospace and advanced technologies.
Tim Richardson from FHP Property Consultants comments:
“I am delighted that we have been able to work alongside Daher in the acquisition of this property which needed only a little adaptation for their use. Having worked with Daher for a number of years it is always satisfying to see the business grow and adapt. There is an ongoing shortage of large distribution warehouses in the region and we needed to acquire a good quality second hand building of around 300,000 sq ft fully sprinklered and on appropriate lease and rental terms.
There is an unprecedented take up of warehouse space in the “big shed” market at the moment, with significant activity by retailers both online and food sector. There has been a particular resurgence in 2018 and with so few existing buildings available, occupiers are having to look at new build, either build to suit or those being speculatively developed”.
Alongside FHP, Freeths advised on the legal aspect and CS2 on the building elements.
The warehouse was acquired by way of a sublease with CPP representing the landlord.
