The Leeds office of global property consultancy Knight Frank has advised on Investec Wealth & Investment’s move to 3 Wellington Place in the centre of Leeds.
The leading wealth and investment company, which is taking 20,500 sq ft of prime office space at Wellington Place, is relocating from Quayside House, Canal Wharf in Leeds’ South Bank.
The company is almost doubling its space at MEPC’s flagship development at the western gateway of the city.
Eamon Fox, partner and head of department at Knight Frank in Leeds, commented: “This is one of the more significant office deals in the city so far this year. It is both a ringing endorsement of the Wellington Place development and another example of the renaissance of the western side of the city centre.
“This flagship development is situated in an increasingly attractive and popular area of the city, which benefits from fantastic transport links and excellent retail amenities. Leeds train station is within a short walking distance and there is swift access to the inner ring road and regional motorway networks,” said Mr Fox.
3 Wellington Place provides stylish and versatile Grade A office accommodation with state of the art facilities to meet the needs of specific businesses.
Rowena Houston, Divisional Director of Investec Wealth & Investment’s Leeds office, explained: “Due to success and growth in our business, we need to relocate and find space for the next stage of our development. By nearly doubling our capacity we can provide modern office space for our colleagues to work in and also additional capacity to grow into.”
“It is important that we remain close to Leeds City Centre. Being close to the station and additional parking is important and the location of 3 Wellington Place will allow us to continue to attract professional people into our business.”
“Our state-of-the-art new premises will also provide an excellent working environment for our staff, together with an attractive and relaxed ambience for our clients.”
Mr Fox explained: “Prominently located within Wellington Place and situated in the high-profile setting at the junction of Wellington Street and Northern Street, this striking commercial building will form the principal north-eastern gateway into Wellington Place.
“There is now a very strong professional core on the western side of Leeds city centre, both in Wellington Place itself and in the immediate surrounding area. For Investec Wealth & Investment, this is the perfect base.
“So 3 Wellington Place is one of the most exciting new developments in Leeds. Not only is it part of a thriving business community, it’s also an impressive building with state of the art facilities designed to meet the needs of modern businesses. Wellington Place is more than just a place to work.
“It’s a lifestyle, a place where you can find the perfect work life-balance, whether you’re squeezing in a workout between meetings, eating lunch in the park or grabbing a drink after work – and that’s great for business,” added Mr Fox.
