Eskmuir Securities has signed TK Maxx at Grosvenor Centre Macclesfield, as part of an £11m extension to the shopping centre.
The international off-price retailer has signed a new 15-year lease, with a break option after 10 years, and will occupy 24,000 sq ft on a two tier trading level, to offer clothing, toys and homewares from a huge range of brands.
TK Maxx is scheduled to open in the middle of August, where it will trade alongside brands such as Clarks, Boots, Fat Face and Superdrug, in an enviable footfall position in the heart of the town.
Eskmuir’s £11m expansion programme is introducing over 50,000 sq ft of new retail space, including three large format units. As well as a new feature entrance to the centre, the works include a refurbishment of the malls with contemporary lighting and improved walkways.
Paul Hodgson, Managing Director, Eskmuir commented: ““TK Maxx is a fantastic addition to the centre and proves Macclesfield’s appeal to brands seeking modern units in a high footfall position within the retail hub of the town. This expansion demonstrates our confidence in the Grosvenor Centre’s position as a major retail draw for the town, and considered alongside the town’s masterplan for new homes and improved public realm and leisure facilities, adds momentum to Macclesfield’s growth story.”
