Leading law firm Ashfords LLP has appointed Neel Mehta as a Partner in its Construction and Infrastructure team, as the firm’s Bristol office continues to grow.
Neel joins Ashfords from TLT as the team targets further growth, advising on significant and complex construction and engineering, infrastructure and energy and waste projects nationally. Neel brings more than 16 years’ experience to what is now a nine-partner team, having given transactional advice over that time to contractors, developers, consultants, public bodies and funders.
Neel Mehta commented, “I am delighted to be joining such an experienced and highly regarded team at Ashfords. It’s an important move for me to work for a firm like Ashfords given their high-profile clients and well established legal expertise in the construction industry.”
Patrick Blake, Partner and Head of Construction and Infrastructure, says: “I am delighted that Neel is joining our team. He is vastly experienced and adds further depth to our expertise. We advise clients across a wide range of building and engineering sectors including health, leisure, house building, waste and renewable energy as well as advising clients on general commercial developments. Our clients include a broad cross-section of project companies, developers, leading contractors and consultants, waste and water companies and public bodies.”
Neel is the fourth Partner appointment in Ashfords’ Bristol office in the last 12 months, with Kate Topp joining the Property team, Nicola Manclark recruited into the Corporate team and Andy Braithwaite appointed as Head of the Commercial team. In addition, Paul Butterworth will be joining later this year from TLT, as a Partner in the Real Estate Team, as the firm’s Bristol office continues to grow.
