A Birmingham integrated office move management, design and fit out consultancy has helped a Bromsgrove technology company save money on the design and fit out of its new office building.
KWB Workplace, the consultancy arm of Birmingham commercial property agency KWB, halved the fit out costs, and then helped secure a government grant to further reduce the cost, for RSM Partners Ltd’s new 6,000 sq ft Bromsgrove office building.
KWB Workplace Director Adrian Southall explains: “Working to RSM’s agreed design, using our experienced contractors we supplied three quotes for the office fit out. The successful contractor was 50% less than a quote RSM had already received from a local contractor which they believed was competitive.
“Then we reduced that cost by a further 50% by assisting in securing a government grant, as the fit out qualifies as a green energy efficient scheme. The total savings are in the tens of thousands of pounds.”
Work is already underway on the six figure fit out at Java House on Bromsgrove Technology Park. Once it is completed, KWB Workplace will manage RSM’s move into its new office accommodation from its old offices on Buntsford Drive, Bromsgrove.
RSM Partners is a fast growing company which provides IT support and software services for IBM mainframe computers to clients across the globe, including high street banks, major insurance companies and high street retailers.
Its move to Java House, secured by KWB, was the biggest office letting in Bromsgrove in the past two years.
RSM Finance Director Nick Davies says: “I can’t thank Adrian and his team enough. We thought we had a good deal in place, but when KWB Workplace was able to halve the quote for the fit out costs, and then help to secure a grant to halve them again, I was extremely thankful we had got in touch with them.
“We worked with KWB Workplace to make sure we had the right design for our new office space. As an independent consultancy they could then find the best contractors to tender to provide the fit out to our specification, so it made it easy to choose a contractor, and of course Adrian and his team are managing the entire project, so we just have one point of contact which saves me management time.”
