Global real estate adviser, Colliers International, has appointed Simon Roberts as a director within its growing Project & Building Consultancy team, in Glasgow.
Simon, who joins Colliers International from GVA, has over 25 years of experience in building surveying and project management for both private and public sector clients. During his career, he has directed assignments in building design, building refurbishment, reinstatement valuations and planned maintenance.
In particular, Simon has specialist knowledge of the alternatives market, especially the whisky industry, having worked with Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Bacardi, Whyte and Mackay and Burns Stewart. He has also been involved in projects for clients in the life sciences sector, including Invitrogen and Bio Reliance and, in the public sector, he has worked with the majority of health boards and local authorities in Scotland.
“Simon will help to expand the national Project & Building Consultancy team offering, further enabling the division to build and maintain long-term client relationships nationally, while creating new opportunities for Colliers in Scotland. Simon’s arrival follows the earlier announcement that Patrick Ford has joined Colliers International in Scotland as capital markets director.
