CMS, now part of Savills, has been appointed by Crawley Town Centre Partnership to explore the potential to develop a Business Improvement District (BID) in the town.
Initial feasibility will take place over the next few months to conduct an assessment of the likely BID area and levy papers, together with a high-level business survey.
Crawley is an excellent candidate for the process as an expanding town centre with hopes for key improvements, alongside with strong transport links including Gatwick Airport.
Paul Clement, CEO of CMS, comments: “Having helped Manor Royal through its renewal earlier this year, we are delighted to be back in the area, this time working with the Town Centre Partnership to investigate the possibilities for a BID. We expect initial feasibility work to be completed prior to the summer.”
Mark Haynes, chair of Crawley Town Centre Partnership, adds: “Crawley Town Centre Partnership is excited to be working with the CMS team to help deliver the prospect of a BID. We will find out from the consultation study with the business community, on what improvements we can implement to help make a destination for all to visit.”
