The first occupier has begun operating at Hodgetts Estates’ Core 42 Business Park near Tamworth. Bond International Tyres, one of the UK’s leading tyre wholesalers, will operate from their newly constructed 106,000 sqft Midland’s distribution centre supplying tyres to the wider region. Construction started in May 2017 and was completed in February 2018, ahead of schedule and on budget.
Core 42 has seen a transformation over the last 12 months with a new £1.5 million direct access onto the A5, a £2.5 million full site infrastructure package, and the 106,000 sqft unit all being successfully delivered on time and on budget. This now leaves two serviced plots for 345,414 sqft and 160,170 sqft units with full planning in place and available for construction at the site.
Edward Hodgetts – Development Director at Hodgetts Estates said, “We are delighted with the progress of the site over the last 12 months with various building contracts all being delivered on time and on or below budget. We were up against a number of competing sites to secure Bond International but the prime location adjacent to BIFT and the M42 along with the confidence in our delivery team and the high grade product on offer at Core 42 allowed us to secure the deal.”
Core 42 Business Park is in a prime location adjacent to Birch Coppice and benefits from being within 0.5 miles of Maritime Transport’s state-of-the-art Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT) and 0.5 miles from Junction 10 M42 near Tamworth. When fully developed CORE 42 Business Park could bring as many as 1,000 jobs to the North Warwickshire area.
Acting Agents for the site are JLL, Avison Young, and Cushman & Wakefield.
