Raymond Weil, the Swiss luxury watchmaker, has taken 4,096 sq ft at The Lexicon on Mount Street, Manchester.
Secured at £24.50 per sq ft on a 10-year lease, the transaction was agreed for PD Properties by Avison Young. Savills acted on behalf of the tenant.
The deal sees Raymond Weil open its first office in Manchester and take 3,363 sq ft on the 9th floor, as well as an additional 733 sq ft in the basement of the landmark property.
The office space was vacated in December 2017 by WHR Property Consultants after they were acquired by Canadian firm Avison Young, which is now located at 11 St James Square.
With nine floors of high quality office accommodation, The Lexicon is in a prime location opposite Manchester Central Library and close to the transport hub of St Peter’s Square. Existing occupants include Howgate Sable LLP, Appleyard Lees and Malcolm Hollis.
Harry Skinner, Senior Surveyor at Avison Young, said: “Manchester’s office market continues to thrive with sharp rental growth in quality buildings close to St Peter’s Square. Raymond Weil is a great international brand to bring to The Lexicon.”
Andrew Cooke, Associate in the office agency team at Savills, said: “We are very pleased to have secured space at The Lexicon for Raymond Weil’s new Manchester office. The building’s location and nearby amenities made it an ideal choice.”
Craig Leach, Brand Director at Raymond Weil, said “We are looking forward to relocating the office to The Lexicon in Manchester. Our requirement was for a prestigious, high-quality office in the heart of the City with fantastic transport links to all the major Cities across the UK, and from The Lexicon we will be able to draw upon a rich vein of qualified and talented staff.”
It is expected that Raymond Weil will take occupation later this month. Colliers International are joint letting agents for the building.
