The Manchester office of CBRE has moved into the tenth floor of flagship office development, One St Peter’s Square. The firm has relocated its 130-strong team from the Belvedere office building on Booth Street, increasing its office space by thirty per cent to 11,309 sq ft.
CBRE’s Building Consultancy team procured and managed a 10 week intensive fit-out, having appointed Overbury and TP Bennett Architects to deliver the project via a traditional Design and Build model of procurement. The space showcases CBRE’s expertise in delivering high quality flexible workspace that will create a great place for their staff to meet clients and to work. The design hasn’t introduced any more desks than their previous office, but in response to stakeholder engagement, CBRE has designed a space that will support the current business and will evolve as the office naturally expands its workforce and changes the way in which it engages with clients and the market.
Oliver Thomas, Senior Director of National Building Consultancy at CBRE Manchester, explains; “The new fit-out includes a large reception and visitor lounge where clients are encouraged to take advantage of the great service, views over the city and amazing coffee to use the space before and after their meetings. The new client meeting suite blends a mixture of design and comfort that has embraced the latest IT and AV technologies, overlooking one of the city’s most iconic squares, with views of the Midland Hotel, Manchester Central Library and the Town Hall. The staff working areas have been arranged into strategic ‘neighbourhoods’ where teams are encouraged to share space and resources, collaborate and ultimately be more productive. Finally and most importantly there has been a significant investment into the staff breakout and informal meeting spaces, that encourages Wellbeing organically, rather than via the latest trend or gimmick.”
One St Peter’s Square is situated in Manchester’s business core and offers 271,000 sq ft of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Grade A office accommodation. The building is fully let to a number of high profile tenants including, KPMG, Addleshaw Goddard, DLA and most recently Irwin Mitchell Solicitors who have completed a letting of 33,300 sq ft of offices, taking the landmark Manchester office building to full occupation.
John Ogden, Executive Director and MD of CBRE’s Northern Business, commented:
“We are delighted to move our team to this prestigious address right in the heart of Manchester’s historic business district. It’s been another exceptional year for our North West Business, exceeding all aspirations. It’s testament to the hard work of the northern region and the continuous growth of the business that we are able to invest significantly into our new office creating great space for our valued client base and most importantly our staff.
“I am really proud of my team who have made this project happen and the finished product demonstrates our expertise, attention to detail and passion for pushing the boundaries in occupier fit out.”
