Global technology and IT services company Ricoh has announced it will be opening a new office and customer experience centre at Maxim Office Park, Eurocentral, Scotland, located on the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Ricoh has for several years worked with local government bodies including Scottish NHS, Scottish Procurement and Crown Office, as well as businesses such as Scottish Power, BP, Shell and Tunnocks, through to local printing producers XIC, Push Print and WGM on an IT Infrastructure rollout.
The opening of the new office, which extends to 4,467 sq ft and is located within the Maxim 1 building, demonstrates Ricoh’s commitment to further developing its Scotland presence. The firm will be hiring additional employees to meet the continued growing demand for its services, products and solutions.
Taking a cue from its own approach to empowering the digital workplace, Ricoh’s Workplace Services division managed the relocation to Maxim and completed the fit-out project, delivering a state-of-the-art office and showroom facility. Staff are expected to take full occupation of the space later this month. The company plans to use its new premises to provide customers with the perfect setting, not only for staff to enjoy, but also, for clients to visit and review the very latest technology innovations.
“Scotland has a proud tradition of attracting and nurturing innovative businesses and continues to be an important focus for us as we grow our UK presence.” said Phil Keoghan, CEO, Ricoh UK & Ireland. “We’re proud to be able to provide our Scottish customers and business partners with a showroom that clearly demonstrates the capability of our services and technology. The location of Maxim Office Park will allow us to be able to better serve our customers.”
Craig Ritchie, Director at Maxim Office Park, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Ricoh, a globally well-respected business, to the Park. It is great that the team chose Maxim in which to grow its Scottish operations. We offered a flexible and friendly package that allowed Ricoh to create space that reflected its specific business needs.”
Maxim Office Park is situated in the hugely successful Eurocentral area which is home to FedEx, Laing O’Rourke and Amazon. Ricoh joins a growing number of successful organisations operating from the Park including biotechnology companies TC BioPharm and Lamellar Biomedical, which have created laboratory space in their suites, SEPA, Wills Bros, Allied Glass, SureThing, Proact IT, Regus and Balfour Beatty.
