Logicor has secured a new lease with Clipper Logistics plc at Sheffield 615, its newly refurbished 615,000 sq ft (57,150 sq m) logistics warehouse, marking the largest logistics letting signed in the UK this year.
Third party logistics operator Clipper Logistics has taken the warehouse on a long-term lease to service its new contract with Boohoo brand PrettyLittleThing.
The letting, which supports a fast-growing retailer, is the largest letting of an existing warehouse in the UK since Logicor’s previous letting of 645,000 sq ft in Tamworth.
Charlie Howard, UK Managing Director, Logicor says: “We completed an extensive refurbishment programme at Sheffield 615, including creating extra yard areas and additional loading doors, to reposition the property as the largest available logistics warehouse in the country and are delighted to extend our relationship with Clipper Logistics with this letting.”
Mike Best, Director, Asset Management, Logicor comments: “There is a severe lack of availability of large warehouses across the UK and Sheffield 615 was extremely well received by the market. We have worked closely with Clipper and its team to provide this solution for their customer and are delighted to have secured this long-term letting with them.”
Steve Parkin, executive chairman of Clipper Logistics, said: “Clipper’s new contract with PrettyLittleThing represents one of the company’s most significant contract wins and is demonstrative of Clipper’s ability to deliver cost-effective solutions for retailers of any scale. We are delighted to have been awarded this contract with one of the fastest-growing online retailers.”
Logicor was advised by CBRE, Commercial Property Partners (CPP) and DTRE. JLL advised Clipper Logistics.
