Two of the Midlands most up-and-coming young comedians are heading the line-up at a major fundraising event at Nottinghamshire’s premiere venue The Carriage Hall next month, hosted by the Midlands Family Business Awards’ team.
Winner of the 2012 Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show Award Chris Stokes and Chris Turner, a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2012, will entertain guests at the gourmet event on the 5th July, which will raise funds for The Prince’s Trust.
“Each year, the Midlands Family Business Awards hosts an annual fundraising event to maximise our efforts to raise funds for the charity chosen as beneficiary for the not-for-profit Awards,” explains Charlotte Perkins, MD of The Wilson Organisation which underwrites the Awards.
“This year we have chosen The Prince’s Trust as the Awards’ beneficiary charity, based on its work to provide practical and financial support to the young people who need it most. And our flagship fundraising event this year is an exclusive evening of fine food, great company and comedy at The Carriage Hall, with a special menu celebrating the Best of British, specifically designed by The Carriage Hall’s chef.”
Representatives from the Awards’ sponsors, which this year includes Smith Cooper, Geldards, Harvey Ingram, Aviva, PwC and Barclays, will join family businesses from across the region at the event.
All proceeds will go to The Prince’s Trust and its programmes for young people, which last year supported more than 7,000 young people across the Midlands.
Tickets cost £50 per head, to include a drinks and canapés reception, dinner, table wine and entertainment. For more information and to reserve tickets contact Ped Briggs, The Wilson Organisation, Tel: 0115 942 7506, email: [email protected].
