Construction firm Willmott Dixon has appointed Stephen Corbett as its new sales and marketing manager for the East Midlands.
Mr Corbett, who is based at the firm’s office in Nottingham, is responsible for raising the profile of Willmott Dixon in the region and supporting its national sector managers and directors in generating leads and driving growth across all sectors, including housing, education and healthcare.
As well as Nottinghamshire, he will cover Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Rutland
Mr Corbett joined Willmott Dixon in 2010 as sales and marketing manager in the West Midlands. Prior to that he occupied a number of sales and business development roles for companies across the Midlands.
Nick Heath, operations director at Willmott Dixon, said: “Stephen has been a key member of the sales and marketing team in the West Midlands and has played a pivotal role in developing the business, particualrly in the housing sector.
“While we have a strong reputation in the education sector in the East Midlands, through our work with Scape and EMPA, we believe there are significant opportunities for us to develop the business in other sectors across the region, which is why we have brought Stephen on board.”
In 2011/12, Willmott Dixon was engaged on more than £57 million of construction projects in the East Midlands, including the new £10.3 million St Ann’s Joint Service Centre in Nottingham, which was opened by His Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex on 28th May 2012.
Willmott Dixon employs more than 770 staff across the Midlands and turns over more than £154m, £80m of which is spent with local businesses.
Nationally, in 2011 the company saw turnover increase from £989.5 million in 2010 to £1,052 billion, with a pre-tax profit of £21.1 miillion, according to its latest accounts.
