Harris Lamb has continued its run of acquisitions for fusion fast food chain Wrapchic, securing a prime location in Walsall town centre.
Having previously secured units for the chain in Merry Hill, Birmingham Airport, Meadowhall in Sheffield, Solihull and Milton Keynes, the business’ retail team secured the 800sq ft unit on Park Street.
“With neighbours including Specsavers, Game, Card Factory, Sports Direct, Three Store, Burger King and Clinton Cards, and in close proximity to the Crown Wharf retail park, the premises ticked all of the boxes”, said David Walton, Head of Retail for Harris Lamb.
The business was retained at the beginning of 2012 by Wrapchic founder Mahesh Raikar and tasked with identifying and acquiring suitable sites in key locations across the UK.
David said: “Having worked closely with Mahesh over the past three years, we’re delighted to have been involved with the launch of this site.
“With a presence in a number of West Midlands towns now, Walsall was the logical next step. When the premises came to the market, it occupied an ideal site in a prime shopping street, and was the right size, with extensive footfall.
“We’re confident that the Walsall outlet, which opens on Friday (April 13), will prove a real success.”
Mahesh added: “We’re so pleased with the way that the business has grown over the past three years, and we are thrilled with the diverse range of locations that we are establishing a presence in with Harris Lamb’s support.”
“With a number of further outlets planned for 2018, we’re confident that the next 12 months will see the chain expand further with the continued insight of the team, and we’re looking forward to seeing the response from Walsall shoppers,” he added.
Wrapchic has now secured units in a number of top UK shopping centres with the assistance of Harris Lamb, and operates 16 stores across the UK. It aims to grow that number to 25 by the end of the year. It has also launched its first international store in Dubai.
