Allied Surveyors Scotland plc has made a further senior appointment to their business by appointing Iain Mercer as its Director of Commercial Agency in Edinburgh.
Mercer, who joins from IME Property and has over 20 years’ experience in the commercial sector, has been tasked with setting up the firm’s first commercial agency on the east coast.
The new office will be based out of the firm’s townhouse on Walker Street in the capital’s west end and will complete Allied’s Scotland-wide coverage of commercial property services.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for me at a time when the commercial property sector is on the up,” commented Mr Mercer.
“I am thoroughly looking forward to working with our existing client book and building Allied’s brand presence in Edinburgh, the Lothians and beyond.”
With a network of 32 offices and over 160 employees Allied Surveyors is now one of Scotland’s largest surveying practices. Professional services include residential and commercial property valuation, building surveying and building consultancy.
Allied Surveyor’s Director and Vice-Chairman, Chris Highton, commented:
“Iain will be joining us to build a commercial agency presence on the east coast. Bringing professional skills, strengths and expertise, Iain will enhance our offering by expanding our services and contributing to our continued growth throughout 2018.
This latest senior appointment comes shortly after Gary Black was recruited from Graham and Sibbald to head up the Dundee office, whilst Nigel Forrest was announced as the local director in St Andrews.
Allied Surveyors Scotland’s continued investment into Edinburgh and the east builds on their increased market share across Scotland.
The company provides national commercial property agency, with properties currently being marketed from Orkney to Dumfries and from the Western Isles across to Berwickshire.
