J Tomlinson has completed construction of 70,000 sq. ft. of industrial and warehouse units at the popular Steel Park Trading Estate in the West Midlands.
The £3.7m project, which commenced in July 2017, is expected to generate dozens of new jobs in the region, with three of the units having been snapped up prior to completion.
West Midlands based commercial property business, Goold Estates Limited, purchased the key Wolverhampton site in 2016, and specialise in the development/management of industrial and office premises throughout the region. The six units were built speculatively and designed to be retrospectively tailored to meet the requirements of future occupants.
The project gained speculative development finance through Finance Birmingham and West Midlands Combined Authority Collective Investment Fund, and was completed both on time and under budget.
Martin Gallagher, managing director (construction) at Midlands-based J Tomlinson, commented: “We are pleased to have delivered an excellent quality and modern development in line with Goold Estates’ vision. It’s excellent to see the volume of interest in the units, and we hope occupiers will be very happy in their new premises, which have been designed to be customisable to their needs.”
Dominic Goold, managing director of Goold Estates, added: “From the outset J Tomlinson ran a good site, were professional at all times, and a pleasure to work with. I would certainly work with them again and would not hesitate to recommend them for similar projects.”
