Property adviser, Vail Williams LLP, has appointed planning Partner, David Ramsay, who returns to the firm from Jones Laing LaSalle (JLL).
With more than 17 years’ experience, David returns to Vail Williams as partner from JLL where he spent three years as a Director, heading up the firm’s planning and development team in the Solent region.
Specialising in planning and development for both residential and commercial property, David brings with him experience of working across a number of sectors, including healthcare, education and leisure development.
Speaking of his return to Vail Williams, he commented: “It’s a pleasure to return to Vail Williams – a firm for which I have a great affinity. I’ve watched with interest as it has continued to grow, both in the Solent and nationally, so to be able to play a role in continuing its future growth, is an opportunity I’m really looking forward to.”
David originally joined Vail Williams in Guildford as an Associate, before moving to Southampton to set up the Solent planning team, where he was based for four years.
Throughout his career he has advised on several key developments across the Solent, including strategic housing developments for up to 1,000 units, and advising on a state-of-the-art sports facility at Solent University.
“Vail Williams is an incredibly forward-thinking and well-respected firm. This profile, together with its core values, helps them to deliver for their clients, time and again,” he concluded.
David joins the firm at a busy time, following its recent recognition as the top office agent and industrial property adviser for Portsmouth by leader in commercial property information, CoStar.
Mike Greenwood, Regional Managing Partner, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome David back to the team at what is an exciting time for the firm. His expertise will help us to continue to exploit new markets and evolve the work that we’re carrying out across the region, which will allow us to continue to assist our clients in achieving their property aims.”
David joined the firm in March and will be based at Vail Williams’ Southampton office.
