Two expanding businesses have purchased new industrial units at Airfield Business Park, Market Harborough, as interest remains high for this gateway commercial development to the town.
Loughborough-based developer William Davis Ltd, has sold the units to two local businesses, ITTC, which has offices at The Point, and MJ Engineering Ltd, previously of Welland Business Park, both Market Harborough. ITTC, which imports and supplies table top ceramics to Marks & Spencer and John Lewis, among others, has taken 10,806 sq ft of warehouse and office space.
Swiftly followed by MJ Engineering, a manufacturer of precision machined components for the motorsport, petro-chemical and construction industries. MJ Engineering has purchased 6,275 sq ft and will use the space to house its manufacturing operation.
Paul Watkins, project co-ordinator, William Davis said: “The business units have proven to be extremely popular with companies looking to expand and demand is remaining high. Both firms bought ‘off plan’ to secure their plots and we encourage other interested parties to do the same.”
Sales Director for ITTC, Tanith Sellicks, commented: “The new unit at Airfield will provide ITTC with lots more warehousing and we are looking forward to moving in. Location and access is very important for the business and Airfield is perfect for both.”
David Simpkin, director, MJ Engineering added: “This is a really important move for the company, not only in terms of space but as a catalyst for expansion. British manufacturing is integral for economic growth and we are pleased to be able to relocate to a superb development and give ourselves space to grow.”
