Construction has started with a ground breaking ceremony on a new 30,000 sq ft headquarters facility for American owned Reisier, a leading food industry supplier of equipment in the processing and packaging sector. The new UK facility is being developed on Maidstone Road, Kingston in Milton Keynes by regional real estate developer Hampton Brook.
In a ceremony held at the site, the ground was officially broken with Roger Reiser, President of Reiser; Richard Watkins, Managing Director of the European operations of Reiser and Ian Jackson, Development Director of Hampton Brook in attendance.
Roger Reiser, President of Resier, said: “As we mark the official ground breaking of our new UK facility, we look forward to seeing the construction through the various phases and the finished building in the summer. Following an extensive fit-out programme – to include machine testing and demonstration areas – our existing UK team will relocate from previously leased premises in Kingston.”
For nearly 60 years, Reiser has been a leading supplier of processing and packaging equipment solutions for the sausage, meat, poultry, seafood, prepared food, bakery and cheese industries. During that time, the company has gained recognition for its high-quality equipment, innovative engineering, and outstanding service and support. This total commitment to its customers has positioned Reiser as the one supplier trusted for better and smarter solutions, and has necessitated the need for larger UK premises.
Pam Gosal, Milton Keynes Council Head of Economy & Culture said: “This investment by US owned Reiser illustrates the growing confidence and demand in the Milton Keynes industrial sector. I welcome this latest investment and look forward to working with Reiser as new jobs are created.”
Ian Jackson, Development Director of Hampton Brook, added: “It is great to have broken ground and to deliver significant US inward investment into Milton Keynes.”
“This is another example of Hampton Brook being able to deliver development and inward investment in the City and follows the success of a 230,000 sq ft UK manufacturing and HQ facility for the French bakery giant Briouce Pasquier.”
“Working with Milton Keynes Council allows developers to deliver schemes which attract overseas investment. It is really no great surprise that companies want to come to the City, where there is impressive evidence of a strong economy and varied cross section of business, giving further opportunities for business development and support.”
