Barberry Developments has announced the appointment of Emilie Douglas as property and marketing manager.
Emilie joins Barberry with more than four years experience in B2B and B2C marketing and sales, spanning property, contract hire and fleet management. She joins the company in a brand new position designed to support its growth and development.
Emilie will be based at the company’s headquarters in Belbroughton near Stourbridge and will be tasked with marketing Barberry’s portfolio of development and investment across the Midlands and further afield.
Emilie said: “I’m thrilled to have joined one of the Midlands’ most successful property development and investment companies at a really exciting time for the region’s property market.
“Barberry has a reputation for developing properties and investments of the highest quality and I believe the West Midlands has the greatest regional promise for further economic growth outside London.
“I’ve always had a keen interest in property and hail from a family of small scale local property developers. I have been known to take a hands-on role on site in the past, from demolishing old house extensions to building stud partition walls, although I intend to leave that to others from now on!”
Henry Bellfield, director of Barberry, said: “Emilie already has considerable experience of marketing and sales and her energy and drive will be an important asset to Barberry as we continue to grow in the coming months and years.
“The team here at Barberry are all looking forward to working with her as we seek to increase our exposure to development and investment across the property and asset classes.”
Barberry Group owns developments and investments across the UK in a range of sectors from industrial, office, retail and leisure to residential and student.
The company recently celebrated reaching a major milestone on a £60 million student accommodation development in Coventry. The first phase of the Bishop Gate development will deliver 725 residential units for Coventry University students in time for the start of the academic year in September 2018.
Barberry has also announced that construction of a 65,000 sq ft industrial unit in Birmingham’s Advanced Manufacturing Hub is about to get underway.
It follows hot on the heels of Barberry’s 46,000 sq ft warehouse on the A34 in Birmingham, which is due for completion in April 2018.
