Kent based chartered surveyors Caxtons is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Canniford FRICS as Senior Professional Surveyor in their Professional property services department at their offices in Gravesend.
Mike qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in June 1979 whilst working for the HMRC Valuation Office and was made a Fellow of the RICS in May 1991. He joined the firm on 12th February 2018.
Mike, a registered valuer, joins Caxtons after a long and successful career that has included both the public and private sectors. He has experience across all aspects of the market and has gained a wealth of experience during his 38 years in the business.
For more than 15-years, Mike worked for the major commercial agency firm Edward Symmons and Partners, was Property Director at Brent Walker PLC, handled portfolio management and development for Wisley Property Group and was Chief Executive of Albourne Housing Association where his role included site acquisition and development, managing projects through planning and arranging funding. Most recently, Mike was Managing Director at Porters Chartered Surveyors in Maidstone.
Mike will be engaged in a range of professional surveying work but principally, valuations, development site appraisals, rent reviews, lease renewals and other landlord and tenant matters. He will work across the region, but predominantly in mid and west Kent, south east London and south Essex.
Mike is a Freeman of the City of London, a keen cricketer and a cricket coach.
