Portsmouth-based VoIP, system, internet & mobile specialists, Victory Communications, is moving into new premises as it continues to expand its offering to businesses in Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight.
The company has moved in to a large area of almost 4,000 sq ft on the second floor of One Port Way, a detached three-storey purpose-built office building at Port Solent Marina.
Victory Communications will lease the office space from the landlord, Northwood Regional UK, which owns One Port Way among its extensive portfolio of properties along the South Coast. Commercial property specialists in the Hampshire offices of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) acted for Northwood.
Victory Communications, previously based nearby at The Quarterdeck at Port Solent, has steadily expanded over more than 10 years of growth since it was founded as a BT Local Business in 2007. Its new premises will be a base for 32 staff with more expected to join as the company continues to grow.
The office space at One Port Way has been completely fitted out to accommodate Victory’s requirements, with the creation of a new server room and integrated LED lighting among the alterations made.
Staff will benefit from a fully-managed building with manned reception, a comfort cooling system, raised access floors and 62 car spaces at the premises.
Barry Saunders, Managing Director of Victory Communications, said: “So much has changed in the world of business communications over the last decade – broadband is now 10 times faster and 50% cheaper than it was then.
“This means businesses are now thinking way beyond email and internet access and are making the most of the benefits of cloud storage, voice over internet technology and video calling. This, combined with BT’s recent acquisition of EE provides us with a complete set of solutions providing significantly increased efficiency for our Customers.
“This rapid change is behind our continued growth and has resulted in the need to find new premises. As luck would have it, the perfect solution was on our doorstep.”
Andy Hodgkinson (pictured), Director of office agency for the South Coast offices of LSH, said: “One Port Way is the perfect location for Victory Communications as an innovative and forward-thinking business, and will be perfect for its requirements now and in the future.
“At a time when quality office space is at a premium, I am delighted that we are able to help Barry and the team find ideal premises among Northwood Regional UK’s superb portfolio of properties in the south.”
One Port Way is one of two detached office buildings, one of which is wholly occupied by Ageas Insurance. It is part of Port Solent Marina Village, which is home to an 808-berth marina, retail outlets including Snow & Rock, restaurants such as Prezzo, Pizza Express and Zizzi and leisure outlets including David Lloyd Leisure and Odeon Cinemas.
Lambert Smith Hampton, which has offices in Fareham and Southampton, is a multi-award-winning commercial property specialist and a leader on the South Coast in the industrial property, office space, retail and investment markets. Hughes Ellard acted as joint agents for One Port Way with LSH.
